TROY – Troy head coach Don Maestri has been named the Sun Belt Coach of the Year by CollegeInsider.com while junior Richard Delk has been named the league’s Most Valuable Player.
The awards add to the honors already bestowed to the pair and to the Trojans. Maestri was named Sun Belt Coach of the Year by his conference colleagues, while Delk was voted the Newcomer of the Year and named a second team all-conference player.

The award marks the eighth time Maestri has been named coach of the year, but just his second since 2004.
