Ware's Tip Pays Dividends For Trojans

The number 94 was present on the Troy Trojans sideline Saturday night as the Trojans knocked off Bowling Green in dramatic fashion, 30-27.
Number 94 was worn, of course, by defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi for Troy on the field, but the man who made it famous was in town as well.
Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker, and former Trojan, Demarcus Ware was on the sidelines as the Trojans grabbed their first win over a current member of the Mid-American Conference. Ware was the highest NFL draft pick in school history, and he did a little work while he was at the game.
The Trojans defense is young. Troy has replaced linebackers, defensive ends, and even some in the secondary. While Ware was in town, he helped them with a few quick lessons.
Massaquoi's counterpart on the Trojans defense is Mario Addison, and Addison latched on to some valuable advice during the game Saturday.
“He pulled me aside and showed me how the offensive lineman shouldn't be pulling on me like he was,” Addison said. “He said I needed to use my speed to get around him. He showed me a move to use and I used it.”
“The Move”, as instructed by one of the NFL's best, caused a fumble on the very next defensive outing.
Falcons quarterback Matt Schilz took the snap on third and 15 from his own 44-yard-line, and Addison delivered a blow he wouldn't soon forget. Schilz fumbled the ball, and Massaquoi was there for the recovery.
Addison gave all the credit to “The Move”.
The Trojans' defense has questions to answer this season. They know that too. Addison and the defense are excited about the opportunity to make more moves too, and they are excited about what the season has in store for them, and even more excited about how much knowledge there is to gain.
“I learned that this team can pull through even when the game is on the line,” Massaquoi said. “I learned that I am able to trust the man next to me. Tonight showed that. I don't want anybody to decrease where they put themselves tonight. We have got to keep progressing, and it starts tomorrow.”
The Trojans progression will take them to face Oklahoma State next weekend, and maybe “The Move” will make another appearance.
