Troy Announces Media Relations Hire

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday the hiring of Adam Prendergast as their Director of Media Relations. Prendergast comes to Troy after spending over four years in the same capacity at ULM.
“We are excited about bringing Adam on board,” said Athletics Director Steve Dennis. “We had a lot of interest in the job, but we feel like we found the perfect fit.”
“We are excited to welcome Adam and his family to the Trojan family. Adam will join us at the beginning of year and we look forward to many great years to come.”
Prendergast will oversee the day-to-day operations of Troy's athletic media relations department as well as coordinate press releases, press conferences, interviews and statistics for local, regional and national media covering Troy's 17 NCAA Division I athletic programs.
“I am extremely grateful to Dr. Hawkins and Steve Dennis for the opportunity to join the Troy Family,” Prendergast said. “My family and I are excited about returning to the state of Alabama and becoming immersed in the Troy community. The future is bright for Troy University, and I can't wait to get to work and start sharing the good news about the Trojans.”
Prendergast replaces Ricky Hazel who served as Troy's Athletics Media Relations Director from 2004 to 2011.
