Troy Tennis Visits Local Elementary School

GOSHEN, Ala. – The Troy men's and women's tennis teams visited Goshen Elementary School on Tuesday, helping to promote an active lifestyle among the school's students.

Head coach Eric Hayes and his players have been visiting Goshen Elementary annually throughout Hayes' 10-year tenure with the Trojans.

This year, Hayes and the Trojans set up nets in the school's gym and played mini tennis, a variation of tennis geared towards small children, with the students.

Hayes said that the Trojans enjoy helping local schools promote active, healthy lifestyles. The time spent by the Trojans gives a boost to the school's physical education program.

The Trojans will begin their spring season in January. The men's team opens play on January 18 at Presbyterian while the women's team opens up at Florida State on January 15.
