Free Admission Among Deals in Place for Friday Women’s Hoops

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team hosts Tennessee State on Friday at 12 p.m. at Trojan Arena, with many promotions in place, including FREE admission for all fans.
The afternoon game is being played as part of First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" campaign with all area elementary and high school students invited to attend. Educational material on the importance of good nutrition and physical activity will be handed out to students. Free bottled water will also be available for each student.
The game will also feature in-game promotions to keep students active. Students will also have their picture taken with some of the pictures finding their way onto Trojan Arena's 767-square foor video boards.
In addition to the FREE admission and educational materials for children, Troy faculty and staff are invited to join the Trojans on their lunch break. All Troy faculty and staff with a valid ID can purchase grilled chicken sandwich's for just $2 until halftime.
On the court, the Troy (2-0) women will be looking to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2005-06. The fast-paced Trojans are coming off of a 100-88 win over Florida A&M in their home opener on Monday.
