Jennifer Graf Elevated to Associate Head Coach

TROY, Ala. – Head coach Chanda Rigby and the Troy women's basketball program announced on Tuesday that assistant coach Jennifer Graf is being elevated to associate head coach.
Graf brings 13 years of coaching experience into her new title. She is entering her second season with the Trojans and came to Troy after spending 12 seasons at Northwestern State, including the final eight as the Lady Demons' head coach.
“It is a tremendous asset to have somebody with so much head coaching experience on our staff,” Rigby said. “Graf does a lot for our program behind the scenes, from practices to travel arrangements to summer camps, that make all the difference but don't bring in all of the credit.”
In her first season with the Trojans, Graf helped Rigby, also in her first season, and Troy lead the Sun Belt in scoring at 70.2 points per game. The Trojans scored 80 points or more nine times including a season-high 118 in a win over Furman in just the second game inside Trojan Arena.
Also last season, Troy won its first Sun Belt Championships game since 2009 by defeating South Alabama in the first round of the tournament in Hot Springs, Ark. The Trojans also posted the first win in program history over Middle Tennessee, marking just the third home, conference loss for the Blue Raiders in five years.
When she was named Northwestern State's head coach on Sept. 1, 2004, Graf became the youngest NCAA Division I head coach at the age of 26. At the end of her eight seasons at the helm of the Lady Demons, Graf was the third winningest coach in Northwestern State history.
While at NSU, Graf coach 19 All-Southland Conference selections and 24 or her 25 seniors received their degrees.
Graf played under Rigby at Loranger High School in Loranger, La., and then moved on to play for four years at Northwestern State before beginning her coaching career at her alma mater.
