TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team played its one and only tune-up contest against Brazilian side, Uninassau, falling 92-71 on Tuesday at Trojan Arena.

The Trojans were led by Amanda Mendoza, who finished with 13 points. Claresa Banks and Jayla Chills both finished in double-digits with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
STAT OF THE GAME

"What a learning experience tonight," head coach Chanda Rigby said.
Most of the girls on that team had a gold, silver or bronze medal from the Olympics or had been in the WNBA; we had five freshmen out there with a new team that is forming. It was rough and we never want to lose, but I think the uphill struggle is going to make us stronger for the climb."
UP NEXT
Troy opens the 2016-17 regular season on the road against in-stat rival Auburn on Nov. 11. Auburn won the last meeting between the schools, 71-54, to open the 2014-15 campaign.
