Troy Dollar General Bowl Rewind - Day One

MOBILE, Alabama – The Troy football team descended on Mobile, Alabama on Monday as the Trojans began their week of preparations for the 2016 Dollar General Bowl. Troy's opening day in Mobile featured a brisk practice, team meetings and a pair of official bowl functions.

After arriving at the team hotel around lunch time, the Trojans quickly headed off to Saraland High School for team meetings, weights and a 90-minute practice session.

Following practice and a brief visit with the local media, the team returned to the hotel before heading to Ladd-Peebles Stadium for the Chick-fil-A Welcome Reception for a team meal followed by a game show competition against Ohio.

The Trojans won the first showdown of the week with the Bobcats taking the mix of Jeopardy, Family Feud, Faceoff and others by a 3-1-1 margin.

Troy will have another busy day on Tuesday with visits to local hospitals, another practice session and a team bowling competition.

The Dollar General Bowl is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday in Ladd-Peebles Stadium and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
