TROY, Alabama – Troy's week two football game at Clemson on Sept. 10 has been scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. (CDT) kickoff and the game will be televised live on the ACC Network, the ACC announced Thursday morning.
Â
Troy's visit to Memorial Stadium in Clemson, S.C., will be the second meeting between the two schools and will mark the fourth straight year that the Trojans have matched up against a school from the ACC (Duke in 2013 and 2014, NC State in 2015).
Â
In the 2011 meeting, Troy led Clemson 16-13 at the half and trailed by just seven points in the fourth quarter before the Tigers pulled away late for a 43-19 victory.
Â
Clemson is coming off a 14-1 season and a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Â
The Trojans return seven starters on both sides of the ball in addition to welcoming one of the top recruiting classes in program history. Brown's first full recruiting class was rated as the second best in the Sun Belt Conference by both 247Sports and Scout.
Â
Troy opens the 2016 season on Sept. 3 when it plays host to Austin Peay in the first of six home games in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Â
Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting the Troy Ticket Office online at TroyTrojans.com, by phone at 877-878-WINS or in person at the Tine Davis Fieldhouse.
