Final Results
CLEMSON, South Carolina – Hakim Montgomery shined once again as the Trojans finished competition Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, S.C.
Â
Montgomery set a team record with a 6.59 time in the 60-meter dash, which was fast enough to capture first place. His time is also currently tied for second best in the nation.

QUOTABLE
"We showed that we can compete at a high level when put in tough competitive situations," said Marc Davis. "We went up against teams like Alabama, Florida State, Duke, Clemson, North Carolina A&T, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Georgia Tech. Those are some very tough opponents to face at the same time. We are holding our own with an individual win in a very tough sprint field, and three more top five finishes on day one."
Â
Another school record was set when Michael Alvernaz threw 18.93 meters in the weight throw. This was good enough for a fourth place finish in the event.
Â
The Trojans had 14 top 10 finishes, nine of those placing in the top five. Included in these top 5 performances was Allison Taylor, who threw a personal best 16.95-meter in the women's weight throw competition. Tyson Robinson finished fourth in the men's 600-meter dash and Indiya Summerville finished fourth in the women's shot put.
Â
Twelve personal records were set in the two days of competition, including Riley Schwietz and Elizabeth Locklier both setting bests in the 60-meter hurdles and high jump. Locklier also set a personal best pentathlon score.
Â
The Trojan's indoor season continues Sunday at the KMS Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
