Need to Know – Troy Football Gameday at the Vet; Idaho Game

TROY, Alabama – It will be #FunBeltAfterDark on Thursday night when Troy plays host to Idaho in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPNU. Troy Athletics once again has an amazing day of activities outside the stadium leading up to kickoff and then inside The Vet before and during the game; kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to visit TroyTrojans.com/Gameday prior to each visit to campus to see the latest information on parking, traffic flow and tickets for each of Troy's six home games.
The highlight before the game is the inaugural T-Roy's Fall Festival
T-Roy's Fall Festival will take place at Riddle-Pace Field from 5-7:45 p.m. The free event features inflatables, games, face painting, a photo booth and more for kids of all ages to enjoy. Student-athletes from several Troy teams will be on hand to play alongside the kids in attendance.
Take a Kid to the Game Day for FREE
Children 12 and under will receive a free ticket to the game with the purchase of an adult ticket. Contact the Troy Ticket Office at 334-670-3681 or visit the Troy Ticket Office in Trojan Arena and mention "Take a Kid to the Game for Free" to receive this special offer.
Basketball Fan Day
Mix and mingle with the Sun Belt Conference champion men's and women's basketball teams in Tailgate Terrace from 6-7:30 p.m. Free posters for both teams will be also available for fans to get autographs from their favorite players and coaches.
Student Appreciation Night
The first 1,000 Troy University students inside The Vet on Thursday will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Guardian Credit Union. Additionally, the game will be jam packed with promotions and prizes for Troy University students.
Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night / Tailgate
All Troy University faculty and staff members are eligible to receive two complimentary tickets to the game. Additionally, a complimentary tailgate will be open for faculty and staff from 6-7:30 p.m. in Tailgate Terrace; Sodexo will provide food for the first 250 Troy University faculty and staff members at the tailgate.
Troy University faculty and staff members wishing to take part in the complimentary ticket offer must RSVP to brentjones@troy.edu by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Troy Merchandise Blowout Sale
The ScreenTech Stadium Store will be selling all merchandise with a buy one, get one free deal in place. Additionally, the Barnes and Noble Bookstore on campus will have a number of sales taking place. All children's apparel and tailgating items will be 25 percent off and there will be an in-store 25 percent off flash sale. Fans will also receive a free dessert in the Barnes and Noble Café with a $10 purchase.
Halftime Fireworks
In addition to an outstanding halftime show from the Sound of the South, fans will be treated to a spectacular halftime fireworks show.
First Responders Day

Pregame Concert
Johnny Barron and The Waterfall Band will perform a pregame concert in Tailgate Terrace from 5-7:30 p.m. with a short break for Trojan Walk, which takes place at 6 p.m.
Women's Basketball Ring Ceremony
The 2017 Sun Belt Conference champion Troy women's basketball team will receive their championship rings in between the first and second quarters. The Trojans won their second straight Sun Belt Conference title in dominating fashion and set the Sun Belt Tournament single-game (86) and tournament (208) rebounding records. Troy went on to play eventual NCAA runner-up Mississippi State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Trojan Walk
Troy's traditional pre-game march into Veterans Memorial Stadium, Trojan Walk, will begin at the intersection of University Avenue and George Wallace Drive. The Trojans will walk through the brick portal into Tailgate Terrace before entering the stadium at Gate 1. Trojan Walk will begin at 6 p.m. for the Idaho game.
Parade of Flags
The annual Troy Parade of Flags will take place prior to the game. Troy University students representing all the countries on campus will surround the playing field at The Vet with flags from their respective countries.
ScreenTech Stadium Store
Fans can purchase the latest in Troy gear from the ScreenTech Stadium Store located in Tailgate Terrace right outside of Gate One beginning at 4:15 p.m. and inside The Vet once gates to the stadium open at 6:45 p.m.
Coke Zero Sugar Free Van
A special Coke Zero Sugar Free van will be in Tailgate Terrace with free samples for fans.
Guardian Credit Union Fan Zone
New this season is the Guardian Credit Union Fan Zone located in Tailgate Terrace. Fans will have the opportunity to receive free T-shirts, water, fans, Troy face tattoos and koozies. Guardian Credit Union will also be on hand for fans to sign up for Troy University debit and credit cards.
Troy Sports Radio Network Pregame Show
Join "Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight, game analyst Jerry Miller and sideline reporter Chris Blackshear live from the Troy University Alumni House from 6-7 p.m. for the first hour of the Troy Sports Radio Network Pregame Show.
Trojan Talk
Troy's weekly radio show with head football coach Neal Brown and "Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight will air live from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday on the Troy Sports Radio Network. Fans in Troy can catch the show live at Santa Fe Cattle Company and enjoy half-priced appetizers and drink specials.
In-Game Host
Troy University graduate Melanie Newman enters her first year as the on-field emcee for Troy football games. Newman has experience working with Major League Baseball, the Arizona Fall League, the Mobile BayBears and the ACC Network.

Troy's new "Tailgating with the Trojans" show will be hosted by Troy University graduate Melanie Newman. The show, which will be released following a home game via Troy's social media accounts, will highlight all of the great tailgating that takes place during Troy football games.
