Trojans Finish Fall Tournament Schedule

TALLAHASSEE, Florida- The Troy women's tennis team completed fall tournament play with some big matches and great wins as it wrapped-up day three of the FSU All-Conference Showdown on Sunday.
After an initial singles loss on Friday, junior Hannah Seizer bounced back to win her two consolation matches, and ultimately won the consolation final. She dropped the first set, but rallied back to defeat Melissa Pick of Iowa 0-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Efriliya Herlina advanced to the consolation finals match in her draw, but fell 6-2, 6-3 to Iowa's Anastasia Reimchen, Nancy Karaky also fell in her consolation finals match after a hard-fought battle against an opponent from UCF. Freshman
Maria Casas Blas also advanced to the consolation finals in the Osceola draw and defeated Furman's Hannah Ferrett 6-3, 6-2 to round out singles play for the Trojans.
On the doubles courts, Karaky and Sanae Ohta faced host team FSU in the finals, but fell in a heartbreaker 8-7 (6) to take second place in their draw and cap the fall season for the Trojans.
UP NEXT
Troy will hit the courts again in the new year as the Trojans will travel to the UWF Spring Invitational Friday-Sunday, Jan. 12-14, 2018.
