TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team heads to Birmingham to face Samford at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Troy (5-3) is coming off a 73-57 loss at Middle Tennessee while Samford (4-6) defeated AUM last week.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Samford enters the game with a record of 4-6. The Bulldogs are coming off a 59-46 win over Auburn Montgomery last Saturday. Senior Hannah Nichols leading the team in scoring and rebounding so far this season, averaging 15.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Sophomore Olivia Crozier averages 9.8 points and 4.8 boards per contest.

• Troy will play eight of its 11 non-conference games away from Trojans Arena. The Trojans close the non-league slate with four straight road/neutral site games.
