Troy Back On The Road At UL Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – After two weeks at home, Troy is back on the road with a matchup against UL Lafayette on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. The game will have a live video broadcast on ESPN3 and will have a radio broadcast on TroyTrojans.com with Russ Schaffer and Barry McKnight on the call.

The Trojans (12-12, 4-6) only played one game this week in finishing off the home-and-home series with South Alabama this past Saturday. A long Kevin Baker 3-pointer put Troy up with under three minutes to play, but it wouldn't be enough as South Alabama rallied for a 76-71 victory.

This season has seen an improved offense from the 2015-16 season as Troy ranks second in the Sun Belt in points at 79.9 per game and second in scoring margin at +6.8.

Troy has scored at least 70 points in every conference game this season and has not scored below 70 since a 72-66 loss at Wyoming on Dec. 19 in a game that featured a two-hour delay because of a power outage.

UL Lafayette (14-10, 4-7) has been on a skid recently as the Ragin' Cajuns have lost four of the past five games. The most recent outing was a narrow 74-70 loss on the road at Georgia Southern.

• Troy has lost seven games in a row to UL Lafayette. The last time the Trojans were victorious was a 71-52 win at home on Feb. 2, 2013.

• The Ragin' Cajuns are the only team scoring more per game than Troy as UL Lafayette is scoring 81.5 points per game.

• The Trojans will face a stiff test on the boards as the Ragin' Cajuns have the best rebounding margin in the country at +6.1.
