Troy Takes on UL Lafayette on ESPN3

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – The Troy women's basketball team is shooting for its 10^th Sun Belt Conference win of the season as it faces off against UL Lafayette on Saturday in the Cajundome. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN3.

The Trojans (16-6, 9-2) destroyed ULM on Thursday, 94-67, as five players scored in double figures including Ta'Kierra Gibbs who turned in a season-high 13 points. Amanda Mendoza and Claresa Banks combined to shoot 9-for-16 from 3-point range while Mendoza also added seven assists in the game.

UL Lafayette (13-8, 7-5) defeated South Alabama, 62-38, on Thursday behind 29 points from Jaylyn Gordon. The senior guard leads the Sun Belt in scoring with 19 points per contest while teammate Simone Fields is sixth averaging 14.9 per game.

Troy enters the game second in the league standings while UL Lafayette sits in fourth.
