Softball Set for Tuesday Night Match-Up With UAB

TROY, Alabama- Troy (15-15, 3-3 SBC), is set for a mid-week tilt with in-state foe UAB on Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m., at the Troy Softball Complex.
The Trojans are coming off a 2-0 walk off win against Southern Miss and a huge conference series win against Georgia State where they went 2-1. The bats were hot all week as Troy posted eight home runs from four different players. All games last week were within two runs and timely hitting by the Trojans made the difference.
Senior Becca Hartley hit three home runs on the weekend, while Stephanie Snyder added two against Georgia State and one against Southern Miss. Hartley went a combined 8-13 at the plate last week, posted six runs, and drove in five RBIs with a batting average of .615.
The entire Troy pitching staff made an appearance last week as Claire Graves earned two starts and put in 16.1 innings of work. She now moves to 7-2 on the season. Senior Rachel Rigney Brown came in as relief in game three against the Panthers. She did not allow any runs and earned the win to move to 6-9.
UAB travels to Troy after a 1-2 weekend against UTSA in San Antonio, Texas. The Blazers are 10-17 on the year. They are led by Analyse Petree who is batting a .297 with four doubles, one home run and 12 RBIs this season.
NOTEWORTHY
• Senior Becca Hartley is tied for ninth in the nation with 10 home runs on the season. She looks to tie her career-high 11 homers that she set last year.
• Stephanie Snyder has recorded 11 multi-hit games this season, a team high.
• Katie Webb is the only freshman to start in every game this season, all at third base. She is looking to extend her six game win streak.
• In the season's first RPI posting, Troy comes in a No. 95.
• Troy is averaging 1.40 doubles per game. Erica Davis leads the team with seven.
Hartley has reached base in 12 consecutive games. She also ranks in the top-50 nationally in slugging percentage with a .778
