Troy Cheerleading & T-Roy Tryout Dates Set

The Troy Cheerleading program is excited to announce dates for their tryouts, as well as for the mascot program, for the upcoming 2017-18 school year! The students that are selected as members of the Troy Cheerleaders and as T-Roy the mascot will carry on the great tradition of performing at athletic events, competing on a national level and various other functions representing Troy Athletics.
Tryouts begin Friday, May 12, at 5 p.m. and continue Saturday, May 13, at 9 a.m. in Sartain Hall. Registration will open at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 12 at the entrance of Sartain Hall. Those participating in tryouts will be asked to perform the necessary requirements of being a member of the Troy Cheerleading program. Those interested in trying out for T-Roy will also be asked to perform as part of their tryout.
Please note that all applicants are required to complete and return the tryout waiver, proof of a completed physical done by a physician within the last year, front and back copies of all medical insurance cards, filled out insurance form and a headshot. All of these items should be turned in no later than Monday, May 8, by 5 p.m. These forms should be submitted via email to rwatkins156793@troy.edu.
Tryouts are open to currently enrolled students and to incoming students who are admitted into Troy University. All applicants must also bring a $40 tryout fee on the first day of tryouts. This fee may be paid in cash or checks made payable to Troy Foundation with "Cheer" in the memo line.
Applicants should bring their tryout application, headshot, application fee, water bottle and towels with them. Females should wear athletic wear, preferably in school colors, and be gameday ready. Males should wear khaki shorts with polo tucked in, preferably in school colors, and be clean-shaven with a short All-American haircut.
