Troy Closes Home Slate With ULM

TROY, Alabama – Troy baseball will finish its home schedule with a three-game Sun Belt set against ULM. Friday's first pitch is set for 6 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and the series finale at 1 p.m. Sunday; all three games will be broadcast live on Troy Athletics Facebook.

The Trojans (27-21, 12-12) come in to the series after walking-off Alabama State in the 11th inning in their final home mid-week game of the season Wednesday night.
Brandon Lockridge, who closed out last weekend's series with a two-run homer in his last at-bat, homered in his first two plate appearances to become the first Trojan to hit a home run in three consecutive at-bats since Trevor Tyre in 2009. Lockridge was also the first Troy batter to hit two home runs in a game since David Hall in 2015.
Coach Mark Smartt will turn to his ace, Andrew Crane (5-1, 1.10), for the start in the series opener on Friday. Crane, who is currently third nationally in ERA, will be followed by Austin Crook (5-2, 3.72) and Daren Osby (4-4, 4.67) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Entering the series, ULM (12-37, 6-18) has lost seven straight and 18 of its last 21 games. Spencer Hemphill leads the Warhawks offensively, batting at a .319 clip on the season.
