Troy Signees Rake in Postseason Awards

TROY, Alabama – It has been a busy and successful season for the seven Troy women's basketball signees, which includes two earning player of the year honors.
Janiah Sandifer (Nashville, Tenn.) was named all-state and district MVP for the second consecutive season while playing for Pearl-Cohn High School. She's a four-time all-district selection and a member of the school's 1,000-point club.
Jasmine Robinson (Augusta, Ga.) was tabbed as the Augusta Chronicle Player of the Year and eclipsed the 2,000-point plateau at the Academy of Richmond County. She was also named first team all-state and was invited to the GACA All-Star Game.
Queen Ford (Buhl, Ala.) was crowned AHSAA Class 4A Player of the Year and first team all-state after her team at Sipsey Valley High School finished as the regional runner up.
Jasmine Sanders (Charlotte, N.C.) was named Class 4A all-state in North Carolina at Garinger High School.
Byrd O'Neal (Winter Haven, Fla.) took home second team all-state honors as Gulf Coast State College raced to its second consecutive NJCAA National Championship. O'Neal averaged nine points and four rebounds for the championship squad.
Sky'Lynn Holmes (Mt. Pleasant, Texas) was named all-conference and all-region at Tyler Junior College, where she also earned NJCAA Honorable Mention accolades. She was ranked No. 18 junior college player in the nation by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
Chelsey Gibson (Pensacola, Fla.) signed with the Trojans on May 4 after spending last season at Marquette. She was ranked the No. 4 junior college guard by ESPN coming out of Gulf Coast State College.
