TROY, Alabama – Troy football head coach Neal Brown and his staff will host the fifth annual Troy Football 101 Women's Clinic presented by Troy Regional Medical Center on July 13; proceeds from the event will benefit the Christian Love Center of Troy.
"This is an event that has grown in popularity each year, and it is a special one because we are able to engage a different part of our fan base and at the same time make a difference in people's lives in the community at the Christian Love Center," Brown said. "I'm honestly not sure who has more fun, our staff and players or the women in attendance. My wife Brooke, Judy Morgan and the Athletics Department staff do an outstanding job each year with the Football 101 Clinic and this year will be no different."
Admission is $25 and includes a Football 101 t-shirt, light snacks and drinks. Participants will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of Troy football with opportunities to hear from members of the coaching staff and the ability to purchase game day gear on location.
"This is always a great night out for the ladies of Troy and the surrounding areas to experience a little football, food, fellowship, fashion and fun," Brooke Brown said. "We are so thankful to be in such a supportive community and this event gives us a chance to give back to that community as we will donate the proceeds from the night to the Christian Love Center to help women and children of need in the area."
Registration will begin at 5 p.m. and the event will officially kick off at 6 p.m. To register in advance, interested women can contact Judy Morgan at (334) 670-3682 or jmorgan@troy.edu. Walk-ups are also permitted on the day of the event.
