Fall is Coming - Troy Football Opens Camp July 30

TROY, Alabama – Coming off a 10-3 season and a Dollar General Bowl title, Troy opens fall camp on Sunday, July 30, with the first of 15 practices before school starts leading up to the 2017 season opener at Boise State on Sept. 2.
Due to the change in NCAA rules regarding two-a-day practices, Troy bumped up its practice schedule by a few days. Additionally, players will report back to campus on the same day they open camp. Players are due back during the early afternoon on July 30 and will hit the practice field at 8:20 p.m.
The Trojans will practice 11 of the next 12 days leading up to the first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, Aug. 12; that day will also serve as Troy's annual Media Day Luncheon. Troy's second and final scrimmage will take place two days after classes resume on Friday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m. and will be Student-Appreciation Night in The Vet.
Fan Day and the Football Kickoff Party will take place the following day on Saturday, Aug. 19, in Trojan Arena. The team will enter its tradition game week mode beginning Tuesday, Aug. 22.
Practices are open to the public; however, video recording or live streaming of any kind during practices is prohibited.
Coming off the best turnaround in the country, an Associated Press Top 25 ranking, the first 10-win season in the school's FBS history and a Dollar General Bowl title, Troy was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference and will be among the favorite in the Group of Five with 17 starters and 54 lettermen returning from the 2016 squad.
Troy set single-season records last season for both overall attendance and per-game attendance. The Trojans once again have six home games in The Vet including in-state matchups with Alabama State and South Alabama.
Season ticket packages start at low as $60 for general admission seats and fans have multiple options to choose from including Family 4-Packs, Stadium Club and reserved seating.
