Troy Announces Updated Traffic, Parking & Ticketing Guidelines for 2017 Football Season

TROY, Alabama – Troy fans packed The Vet in record numbers last season and in order to provide a more enjoyable gameday experience for all fans, the Troy Athletics Department and the City of Troy have enacted several changes to traffic flow, parking and ticket purchase locations for the 2017 season.
Â
Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the updated pregame and postgame traffic flow guidelines as construction across Troy's campus and road closures could alter past routes taken to and from campus.

Ticket Will Call & Sales Locations
Â
Tickets will be on sale at the following locations:
• Gate 1 -  2 p.m. until halftimeÂ
• Gate 2 -  2 p.m. until halftime
• Riddle Pace Field (Baseball) [Sales & Will Call] -  2 p.m. until halftime
• Trojan Center Box Office - 2 p.m. until halftime (select games)
• Trojan Arena Ticket Office - 8 a.m. until halftime
      • Will call will be available at Trojan Arena from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.Â

Only tickets purchased through Troy will be available for pick up at the above will call locations.Â

Troy Football Gameday Traffic
Â
Pregame
• University Avenue from George Wallace Drive to Luther Drive (Dining Hall) will close for through traffic at 8:00 a.m. the morning of games. Exceptions will be made on weekday games to ensure traffic flow on and off campus for classes.
Â
• George Wallace Drive will be closed one hour prior to game time from John M. Long Drive to the entrance of Charles Henderson High School. All traffic needing to access Veterans Memorial Stadium after this time must enter through the roundabout on Luther Drive at the lagoon.
Â
• Luther Drive from the roundabout at the lagoon will be closed and monitored beginning at 8:00 a.m. on game days. Only vehicles with the appropriate pass and handicapped patrons with a state issued I.D. will be allow through this area.
Â
• Handicapped parking will be in the Pace Hall parking lot and on Luther Drive adjacent to the baseball. Individuals must have the appropriate state issued I.D. to park in this area.
Â
• All parking on George Wallace Drive adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium will be for law enforcement, other emergency vehicles and deliveries.
Â
• University Avenue and Highland Avenue will be closed for west bound traffic at Magnolia Avenue one hour prior to game time. Only local traffic (residents) will be allowed beyond the barricade.
Â
• McKinley Drive will be closed one hour prior to game time from the entrance of the grassy lot on the north side of Trojan Arena to George Wallace Drive. There will be no through traffic on this road.
Â
• There will be no parking along Melton Carter Drive leading to the Physical Plant. This will be a tow-away zone.
Â
Postgame
• Traffic leaving Veterans Memorial Stadium from the Red Wave/Stadium Tower Lot (LOT 1), Pace Hall Lot (HANDICAP), Track/Soccer Lot (LOT 3) and the Trojan Center (LOT 5) should travel north and exit the campus through the roundabout at the lagoon.

• Traffic leaving the Trojan Arena/McKinley Lot (LOT 4) or the grass area on the north side of Trojan Arena should travel west on McKinley Drive and exit the campus through the roundabout at the lagoon.
Â
• Traffic from the National Guard Armory area and Highland Avenue should turn north on George Wallace Drive and exit on Elm Street.
Â
• Traffic exiting the Sartain Hall Lot and the Hawkins Lot should exit east onto John M. Long Avenue and then south onto George Wallace Drive toward Highway 231.
Â
Troy Football Parking Information
• Parking passes must be displayed on the rearview mirror of vehicle at all times. Please have the pass visible as you approach campus.
Â
• All game day parking lots will be secured at 8:00am Saturday morning.
Â
HANDICAP PARKING
Handicap parking spaces will be made available near the stadium. Those individuals seeking to use these spaces will be directed to the Pace Hall Lot, which is located next to Riddle-Pace Field.
Â
To utilize this parking lot, the following must be present:
• The state-issued handicapped license plate or hang tag
• The individual who was issued the license plate or hang tag by the state must be present in the vehicle.
Â
• Fan courtesy shuttles will be available two-and-a-half hours prior to kick and continue until 45 minutes postgame to assist those who require additional assistance entering the stadium.
