SBC Tournament Tickets, Fan Headquarters Announced

TROY, Alabama - The 2018 Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championship, presented by First Bank and Trust, is taking place March 6-11 at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans. The Troy men's and women's basketball teams will both look to defend their tournament titles from 2017 and all Trojan fans are encouraged to make the trip with the teams.

Tickets for the tournament are $120 and include all 22 games from Tuesday, March 6Â through the championship games on Sunday, March 11. Tickets may be purchased directly through the Troy Ticket Office by calling 877-878-WINS (9467) or by visiting the Troy Ticket Office in Trojan Arena. Tickets may also be upgraded to VIP status for an additional $155 and includes premium seating options and access to the Sun Belt hospitality room.

The Country Inn & Suites in Metairie, located at 2713 N. Causeway Blvd., will serve as the Troy fan hotel. Rooms are available through Troy for $139 per night (plus taxes) with a three-night minimum. Those wishing to book rooms at this hotel are asked to contact Steve Stroud at (334) 670-3684 or sastroud@troy.edu to sign up.

There will also be a Troy fan headquarters for Trojan fans to gather prior to each Troy game of the tournament for food and fellowship. Fans are asked to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings (3434 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA) two hours prior to each Troy game. The Athletics Department and Troy Alumni Association will have complimentary appetizers as well as giveaways for Troy fans to enjoy. Additionally, Troy will provide a complimentary fan shuttle for Troy fans between Buffalo Wild Wings and Lakefront Arena before and after each Troy game. The shuttle is scheduled to depart from the fan headquarters at Buffalo Wild Wings approximately one hour prior to the start of each Troy game and return after the game.

Fans that come down to the tournament later in the week will still have the ability to purchase gameday tickets at Lakefront Arena.

Troy looks to finish its home schedule on a high note this week with two home games in Trojan Arena. Thursday's doubleheader against Louisiana will tipoff at 5 p.m. for the women's game with the men's game slated for 7:15 p.m. Saturday's home finale will begin at 2 p.m. for the women's game and the men's game is scheduled for a 4:15 p.m. start. Both doubleheaders will feature FREE admission for kids ages 12 and under and will also include general admission tickets for $5 per person.
