STATESBORO, Georgia – Troy women's basketball closes out the regular season at Georgia Southern on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT) in Hanner Fieldhouse.
The Trojans (16-12, 11-6 Sun Belt) are coming off a disappointing loss at Georgia State on Thursday, but have won 11 straight against Georgia Southern in the all-time series including four in a row in Statesboro.
Georgia Southern (5-23, 2-15) has dropped five straight games capped by an 81-74 overtime loss to South Alabama on Thursday. The Eagles will enter next week's Sun Belt Conference Tournament as the No. 11 seed, while Troy is locked in as the No. 4 seed.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
The South Alabama notched an 80-72 victory in overtime over host Georgia Southern on Thursday at Hanner Fieldhouse, locking the Eagles into an 11th seed for the upcoming Sun Belt tournament next week.
The Eagles and the Jaguars played an even first quarter, with a Nakol Franks 3-pointer with one minute left giving Georgia Southern an 18-16 lead at the end of the first quarter. During the opening period of action, Amira Atwater notched her 100th assist of the season, setting up Alexis Brown's 3-pointer with 3:34 left in the quarter. She becomes the first Georgia Southern women's basketball player to record 100+ assists in a season since Carolyn Whitney had 104 assists during the 2006-07 season.
