TROY, Alabama – Troy's future football schedule took shape on Wednesday as Athletics Director Jeremy McClain announced a home-and-home series with Memphis (2024 & 2025) and a single-game at South Carolina (2021).
Â
"It is our goal when putting together a schedule to find regional opponents that fit within our scheduling philosophy," McClain said. "We've found a good balance in our schedule as we secure home-and-home series with teams from peer conferences within our geographic footprint."
Â
Troy, who knocked off SEC foe LSU in Death Valley this past season, makes the trip to Columbia, S.C., on Sept. 25, 2021. It will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools with the Gamecocks winning the previous three in 2004, 2005 and 2010.
Â
Troy will travel to the Liberty Bowl on Sept. 7, 2024, to open the home-and-home series with Memphis and the Tigers will make the return trip to The Vet on Sept. 13, 2025. The schools have met five times previously as they played every year from 1937 to 1941. Troy won the first meeting and Memphis claimed the final four contests.
Â
Season tickets for the defending Sun Belt champion Troy football team are now on sale for the 2018 season at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Troy plays host to six home games during the 2018 campaign, including visits from Boise State, Georgia State and Louisiana.
Â
Season ticket packages start as low as $60 and all ticket prices are identical to those from 2017. Fans who renew or purchase their tickets by Friday, April 27, will receive numerous incentives including a replica Troy football Sun Belt championship ring.
Â
Troy is coming off a record-breaking season both on the field and in the stands. The Trojans set a school FBS record with 11 wins en route to their sixth Sun Belt Conference championship and New Orleans Bowl title. Troy's 21 victories over the past two seasons are the eighth most in the country and the Trojans will carry the nation's fourth-longest active winning streak of seven games into the season opener against Boise State.
